The Underwriters Laboratories UL Classified Mark is proof of product compliance to published North American industry safety standards. Cutler-Hammer/Eaton type CL circuit breakers have been tested in their respective brand of load centers in accordance with the National Electrical Code, meet the ANSI/UL489 standard and are suitable for use "in place of the specified circuit breaker" in those load centers.
